[Taxation] Reminder Regarding the Deadline for Submission of the Individual Income Tax Return Set for 2023 and the Individual Income Tax Return Set for the First Quarter of 2024

The following information is provided regarding the individual income tax filing deadlines to be implemented in April 2024.

<Deadline for filing＞
・Individual income tax returns for the year 2023:For individuals, “by the end of the fourth month following the end of the calendar year.
・Individual income tax return for the first quarter of 2024:For individuals, “by the end of the first month of the following calendar quarter”

Since Tuesday, April 30 and Wednesday, May 1, 2024 are holidays, the due date will be the next business day, “Thursday, May 2, 2024.
However, since the Ministry of Labor is currently proposing that the five consecutive days from April 27 (Saturday) to May 1 (Wednesday) be holidays, it is recommended that tax returns be completed “by April 26, 2024,” in anticipation of system problems, etc.
