[Taxation] Hanoi Tax Department regarding the point of issue of invoices

Hanoi Tax Department issued Official Letter No. 40278/CTHN-TTHT dated July 10, 2024 guiding on the point of issuance of invoice.
Pursuant to Article 9 of Decree No. 123/2020/ND-CP, in principle, the time of issuing invoice in the sale and purchase of goods is the time when the ownership or right to use the goods is transferred to the buyer, regardless of whether payment is made or not.
The delivery note signed by both parties should be kept by each company as it will be used as a legal document in the event that the buyer or seller files a dispute on the time of invoice issuance in the future.
